Branching Out - Masculine Card

 When I saw the Branching Out Bundle, I was like, wow I need those dies, but wasn't too keen on the stamp set.  Boy was I wrong.  This is an amazing set, I have had so much fun playing with this.  It is versatile and is perfect for masculine cards, christmas cards, birthday cards and just because cards. 

I wanted to make sure I have some masculine Christmas cards ready, so I made this as a Christmas card and had to borrow a sentiment from Words of the Season stamp set.

Which do you prefer, the Mossy Meadow base or the Early Espresso?

For the needles, I stamped first in Old Olive, then again in Mossy Meadow to add fuller needles.  The pine cones, I stamped first in Pecan Pie and then did the tips in Early Espresso.  Once I was happy with the needles/pine cones, I stamped White craft ink on the tips to mimic snow.  I also stamped some snow in the background.  To make it a little more intense, I let the ink dry and then I stamped the tips in versamark and used the white embossing powder to make some of the snow stand out.  

I then sponged around the edges and over the embossed card layer with Mossy Meadow ink followed by Early Espresso.

I kept the insides pretty simple

Light & Wonder

 Ok, I had the privilege of playing with this set and showcasing it for our team family reunion this past weekend.  So you know I have a few projects to show you LOL.  This is the card I demonstrated for our reunion.  Super easy, but pretty cool if you ask me!

The designer series paper is just amazing, pair it with the dies that you can make scenery with, and this one is a keeper!

For this card, the card base is 7 1/4 X 5 1/2, scored at 1 1/2 and 3 (I used Gorgeous Grape), fold along the score lines to make a z fold.

Gorgeous Grape - (need 4) 1 1/4 X 7 1/4, scored at 1 1/2 and 3, fold along the score lines to make a z fold

DSP - 4 (tall) by 5 1/4 (wide), cut into 1 inch strips (you will have 4)

Basic white - 5 1/4 x 4 (back panel)

                - 2 1/4 X 5 1/2 (cut with the rolling hill die)

Basic Black - 2 1/2 X 5 1/2, cut with the small trees near the top.

Spooky Sweet Suite Fun Fold Halloween card!

Ok, I have been playing all week with the Spooky Sweet Suite.  It is absolutely adorable.  You could get away with just the DSP and make some pretty darn cute cards, but the little critters on the stamp set are adorable and I love the dies with the Haunted house.  So really, you should get the entire suite :).

Which card do you prefer?
