Sneak Peak at Gnome for the Holiday Card

Have I told you lately how much I love this Gnome for the holiday stamp set? Think you might have gotten the idea by now as most of most recent posts have been using this set!! Well here is a sneak peak of one of my cards that will be in my Gnome for the Holiday class to go. October 22 is the last day to sign up.  I will have the PDF tutorial for sale on my blog soon if you missed out on the class to go!

Isn't this just the cutest. And so easy and so relaxing to make (colouring to me is so relaxing!!)  I was inspired by Angela MacKay for this card, so thank you Ange!

To make this card I simply stamped the hat of the one gnome (the Christmas tree) in Real Red on Real Red cardstock.  Stamped the gnome on scrap paper and on the house on the tag in Memento ink and coloured with blends.  Stamped the sentiment in Real red and then cut everything out and assembled!

Here are the dimensions:

- Whisper White card base - 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
- Real red layer - 4 X 5 1/4
- Whisper White rectangle 2 3/4 X 4 1/4
- Heartwarming hugs DSP 2 5/8X4 (cut using stitched rectangle dies)
- Whisper white scrap for gnome and for label

A complete list of supplies is below.

Make sure you check out my video!

Thanks for stopping by.

Jen

Stamping Symphony October Blog Hop - Christmas and Snowflake Wishes

What???? It is the middle of October already??? So for this month's blog hop we decided to show the versatility of our holiday/christmas stamps.  The Christmas/holiday themed stamps can be used for a lot more than just the holidays!! Winter birthdays, thinking of you, anything! So with that in mind, I designed this card.  What do you think?

I was inspired by Julie Davison for this card, so thank you Julie! I love this card and it is so easy to make.  We will be making this card in my upcoming Snowflake Wishes class. Make sure you sign up to see all the other projects we will make together!

For the inside of the card, I just kept it really simple.

I have provided a complete list of supplies at the bottom of this post, and if you live in Canada, you can shop directly from me from the comfort of your own home! Just click on the links in the supply list.

So how do I make this card??? It is simple!

Instructions

1. Cut the following paper:
    - Card base (Balmy Blue) - 4 1/4 X 8 1/4, score at 5 1/2
    - Second layer (Pacific Point) 3 X 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
    - Front Panel (I used DSP and stamped on it) or use whisper white (2 3/4X4)
    - Inside Panel (Whisper White) 2 3/4 X 4
    - DSP panel 2 1/2 X 4
    - Pacific Point panel behind DSP 2 5/8 X 4 1/8
    - scrap Whisper White and Pacific Point
2. Front Panel - I used DSP but you can use Whisper White.  Stamp various snowflakes in Pacific Point.  Stamp full strength and stamp off (ink stamp, stamp on scrap paper, then stamp on project)
3. Stamp Sentiment in Pacific Point and cut or punch out label
4. Stamp sentiment on inside panel using Pacific Point
5. Cut out the banner in Pacific Point from Tasteful Labels dies (or use a punch) and cut in half and adhere to back of sentiment panel on both sides.
6. Run the card base through the Cut and Die machine using the Winter Snow embossing folder.  Only emboss the larger part of the card up to the score line.
7. Glue the Pacific Point panel and DSP together and adhere to the non-embossed portion of the card base.
8. Glue the stamped front panel and inside panel to the Pacific Point Second Layer so it opens like a mini card.
9. Adhere to embossed part of the card base panel using a strong adhesive.
10. Cut 8" of ribbon, fold in half and adhere to card front using glue dots.
11. Adhere sentiment label on top of the ribbon using dimensional.
12. Adhere snowflake adhesive sequins to the front.

You are done!!!!

Hope you enjoyed this card! Make sure you check out the other talented ladies blogs! Please leave a comment and check out my class schedule!!

Happy Stamping.
