May Stamping Symphony Blog Hop - Goodbye to some of our favourites

Well, with the launch of the new annual catalogue in June comes the retiring list.  Sometimes it is really hard to say goodbye. Not sure how I am going to manage without Lemon Lime Twist :(. But, I was surprised that Stampin Up decided to retire its longest running stamp set Lovely as A Tree,  I hope they bring it back at some time, as it was my go to Stamp set for masculine cards, sympathy cards and even Christmas cards.  So sad to say goodbye to it. It is one set that I will keep forever though :). I love it.  To pay tribute to Lovely As a Tree, I decided to feature it in my May classes.  If you don't have it in your collection, you are going to want to buy it before it is gone.

This card is really simple. Just stamped with momento, colored the tree and grass with blends, stamped leaves for background, placed the mossy meadow and wood textured DSP through the bigshot with subtles folder, tied some thread and there you go....very easy.

I really like the way the Delicate Lace Edgelits and the wood textured DSP look for the edge of the inside. What do you think?  For a complete list of supplies for this card, see below.

So sad to see Lovely As a Tree retiring....hope on over to the other Stamping Symphony blog posts to see what they are sad to say goodbye to..

Here are a few other Lovely as a Tree cards.

Happy stamping
