So, I have had fun with the double vision card. I used the technique for my demonstration at our team gathering this past weekend with the Scenic Coast DSP, and wow..it worked so beautifully. I decided to try it with the fish paper as my husband is an avid fisherman, and fathers day will be here before I know it.
What do you think?
There are two ways you can do this. One, take one 5 1/4 X 4 DSP, cut it into 1/2 strips and raise every second strip with dimensionals. Or, you can cut two pieces of DSP that are exactly the same to 5 1/4 X 4. Keep one as your base and cut the other into 1/2 inch strips, using every second strip. That is what I did as I like the look better than seeing cardstock peeking through but it is a lot of DSP used and wasted!
I cut the chair out of Peaceful Pine with the dies and used a blending brush to add some dimension to it. The book I stamped on Basic White with memento and coloured with my blends (Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow). I used the textured notes dies and run it through twice to get a smaller rectangle for the sentiment. With the Basic Essentials Twine, I wrapped it around the sentiment and attached a trinket.
For the inside, I kept it simple and just cut out a fish from the designer series paper.
Here is the card I made for our team event. Same technique, just a different suite.
