Stamping with Jen - Suit & Tie Dies

Well, we are almost through 2020 and what a year it has been.  Never in my dreams would I have imagined a year like the world has been through. But, despite the uncertainty, fear and sadness that has been widespread throughout the year, there is so much to be thankful for and to celebrate.  Given that tomorrow is the eve of a new year, it thought I would play with the new Suit & Tie dies that are available January 5th. I am going to have sooooooo much fun with these!!!

New Year's Eve will be very different this year with pandemic restrictions.  But we can still celebrate the new year with friends virtually and the family you live with!! Hug your loved ones and have a  Happy New Year!!

So for this card I just used the Suit and Tie Dies

It is part of a Suite called the Well Suited Suite

These will be available to purchase from my on-line store starting January 5th.  Buy the suite and you will earn a free Sale-A-Bration item too!!!  Make sure you watch my video of how to make this card. It is really very simple!

The card base is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  I did the jacket 3 1/2 X 4 1/4 where the dress is simply a piece of glitter paper 2 X 4 1/4.  The rest of the items are just cut with the dies, so scraps are fine!

The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.  I just didn't ink up the "you".

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Love the DSP? I am doing a DSP and ribbon share.  You must order by Jan 5.  Links to order forms are on my blog.  Check out my classes too while you are here :).

Make sure you also check out the Giant Year End close out sale...only a few days left!!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful and safe New Years.  Stamp with you in 2021!!  Here is a link to the video for some tips and tricks on making this card

Stamping Symphony December Blog Hop - Window Cards

It is December 2020...only a few more sleeps till Santa comes!!! I hope you all have a very happy and healthy holiday season.  With COVID restrictions, this holiday season should be a lot less frantic and hopefully people will have some time to relax and recharge.

We decided to have a theme of Window Cards this month.  So I decided to do a peek-a-boo window card.  I have done this fold before and it is a perfect card for a shaker card.  This time I used product from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration and January to June Mini Catalogue.  These items will be available January 5, unless of course you join my team and then you can get them now!!!  Ask me how!

Aren't these Darling Donkeys so adorable!!!! And they are FREE!!!  Starting in January, for every $60 you spend before shipping and taxes you get to pick a level 1 item out of the Sale A Bration catalogue and these adorable stamps are one of the items!!!

When you open this card, a new panel slides in to cover the donkey and display a new message (hence the name Peek a Boo).

Don't you love the designer series paper (DSP) that is also a Sale A Bration item!!! So it is free with a $60 order too...So cheery and happy.

It is kind of hard to explain how to put this card together. I will be doing this card on my Facebook Live on Wednesday and will add a link below.

The supply list below is those that are currently available.  New product that will be available January  5th needed to make this card are as follows:

- Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack (January to July Mini) item # 154579

- Blending Brushes (January to July Mini) item # 153611

The basic recipe for this card is

- Inside Base - Bermuda Bay Card stock - 4 1/4 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

- Front Bermuda Bay Card Stock - 4 1/4 X 5 1/2

- Whisper White Cardstock

        - 3 X 4 1/4, with the 3" side, score at 2 3/4"

        - 4 1/4 X 5 3/4, with the 4 3/4 side along the top, score at 5 1/2

- Designer series Paper

        - Front 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 (In Good Taste DSP)

        - Inside 4 1/4 X 4 1/4 (Oh So Ombre DSP)

Stamping with Jen Butterfly Wishes

Happy December!!! The holidays are almost here and all of my Christmas cards are out!!! A friend of mine was having surgery this week, so I needed a thinking of you card.  I pulled out a stamp set from the Annual Catalogue that I haven't used in so long and fell back in love again!  Butterfly Wishes is a gorgeous stamp set!

I also made a thank you card in blues...which one do you prefer?

To make this card, I cut out the pieces as listed below.  On the white rectangle, I stamped the flowers either in Blackberry Bliss or Night of Navy and did the same for the butterfly on scrap paper.  I actually stamped the butterflies three times, once on the oval die cut and two images on the scrap paper.  Using my blenderpens, I then blended the flowers and the butterfly to soften.  If you have some wink of Stella, go ahead and add some sparkle to the butterflies! Using the new blender brushes (available to demonstrators now and to customers Jan 5) I added Highland Heather or Balmy Blue lightly around the flowers.  Stamped the sentiments in Blackberry Bliss (from Good Morning Magnolia stamp set) or Night of Navy (from Heal Your Heart - New SaleABration set coming Jan 5).  The first layer of Whisper White was embossed using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  For the butterflies I cut (using scissors one whole butterfly out and then on the second one just cut the top layer of the leaves.  I slightly curled these with my bone folder and then glued them to the whole butterfly to give a little dimension.  I then just put it all together! For the Purple card I added ribbon from the Playing with Patterns ribbon combo Pack and for the Blue card I used the Metallic Mesh Ribbon.  These are really simple, yet pretty cards to make! Supply list is below. Make sure you watch my video!!

Recipe:
- Card base - Whisper White 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
- First Layer Whisper White 4 X 5 1/4, embossed with Tasteful textile embossing folder)
- Night of Navy Layer - 3rd largest Rectangle stitched die
- Whisper White layer - 4th largest Rectangle Stitched die
- Sentiment Layer - Whisper White - second largest oval from Stitched shapes dies
