Stamping with Jen - Pansy Petals Sneak Peak

Happy Wednesday.  Do you know what next week is? It is the launch of the new catalogue.  I thought I would give a sneak peak of an upcoming suite called the Pansy Petal Suite.  I thought I didn't need any more flowers until I started playing with this suite...now I want more :).

I simply stamped off twice to do the background of the pansy's using Polished Pink and Highland Heather.  Then with the detailed stamp, stamped full strength in Polished Pink and Blackberry Bliss.  I did the centre of the Pansy in Pale Papaya and the leaves in stamped off Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen for the details.  I then cut them out using the dies.

On the Basic White rectangle, I used the water painters and splattered Polished Pink and Blackberry Bliss.  After I let it dry, I randomly added the leaves to the pansy's with glue dots and the pansy's to the card front with dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment in Polished Pink, and after attaching the ribbon, I popped the sentiment up with dimensionals.  What do you think?

I also did the same card using Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss.  This time I sponged some of the pansy's instead of using the background stamp.  Which do you prefer?

Leave a comment. Please let me know which one you prefer.  If you want to make these cards, the supplies will be available May 4 and you can purchase from my on-line store or message me and I can help you out!

Have an amazing week.

Happy stamping!

Jen

Stamping Symphony April Blog Hop - Retiring Items Stamping with Jen

Happy April!!! Where is the time going? I cannot believe it is half way through the month already.  Spring is here! The birds are singing!!! And it is almost time for the new catalogue...which means Last Chance Sale is almost done.  Make sure you check out the amazing deals and also take a peak at the Clearance Rack as it was just updated!

So for this month we decided to feature products that were leaving us :(. There are a tonne of amazing products that are going away.  But let me tell you, the new stuff that is coming ...oh my!!!! If you live in Canada and would like a catalogue make sure you contact me. So many amazing things and the new in-colors, I love every one of them!!  But I digress.

So I decided to make a card using the Game On stamp set which is perfect for those masculine cards!! I also used a technique called Joseph's Coat. What do you think?

Josephs Coat Technique
Here is another one, same colours, but just Chess focused (this is for my youngest son's birthday in July!! He loves chess.

Josephs Coat Technique

Make sure you watch my video below for some tips and tricks to make the card. But it is super easy!!!  You pick your colours and sponge a piece of Basic White cardstock (4 1/4 X 5).  Then you randomly stamp your images in Versamark ink and clear emboss.  Then you take a dark ink (I used Memento) and you bring the ink to the paper and cover your card front.  Make sure to wipe off the extra ink or it will make a mess!!! Then your background is done and you are ready for your sentiment and assembly.

When you look closely you can see how the different colors come through that you sponged.

If you would like to make this card and you live in Canada, I would love if you shopped with me!  A complete list of supplies are provided below and make sure you watch my video!.

Last Chance to Get Your Game On

I finally inked up this set and I am having so much fun with it.  I am using a bunch of products from the Last Chance sale.  These are items that are retiring and not be carried over to the new Annual catalogue.  While I am very sad to see some of them go, you should see the new Annual catalogue 💖💖💖💖💖

What do you think of this card?

I always struggle with masculine cards.  Think this one works!!!!  The items used in the card that are going away are the Game On stamp set, the Peony Garden DSP, the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and the Stitched Nested Labels (I am soooooo sad they are going away :().  I stamped off (inked up the stamp with Basic Gray ink and stamped first on scrap paper then on the DSP) the chess board randomly on the DSP and stamped two sets of the chess pieces, one on the die cut and one on scrap paper.  I cut out the three front pieces from the scrap using scissors and popped them up with dimensionals.  Here is a close up
