Stamping with Jen Little Ladybug

Happy Sunday! I can't believe it is the end of the week and end of the day already.  Time flies! Today I played with the host exclusive stamp set "Little Ladybug" and let me tell you I am in love.  It is sooooo cute and as of Feb 4 there are corresponding dies....So, this stamp set is only available to hosts and only if the party sales meets $375 Cdn (before taxes and shipping). But check it out...oooohhhhh the possibilities!!!

So the sentiment "Spread your wings and FLY" hit home with me.  What a great encouragement card for someone just starting out on a new path in life, like a new job, new career, new adventure.  It is kind of cute that the lady bug images show one with wings closed, one getting ready to fly and one in full flight.  So building on that, I designed this card.

This card would also make a great valentines day card!!

Stamping with Jen - Special Someone Valentines Day Card

Happy Sunday! Yesterday was the perfect day for crafting.  The roads were a mess as we received more snow in one day than we have so far this winter.  Not as bad as the east coast, but enough to make me even happier to be in my craft room stamping!

I thought I would share with you a simple Valentines Day card that is so simple to make.  It is using the Special Someone stamp set from Stampin Up! 2020 Mini Catalogue.  Many people kind of brush past this set in the catalogue, but when I saw it I LOVED it!!

 Special Someone
And the best news, as of Feb. 4 2020 there will be a matching die set for this adorable stamp set. Check out the video below and you can get a sneak peak of them!!!

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of the card....I think it is cute enough for a child as well as an adult :).

I just love the critters...I think they are so darn cute.  I missed a little on the squirrel for the two step stamping as it is very difficult on camera to line up without being able to look directly down on your project.  But without a camera in the way, it is sooooo easy with the photopolymer stamps to line the images up.   The racoon was stamped with crumb cake and the squirrel with smokey slate.  The hearts are punched with the punch pack from the 2020 Mini Catalogue.
Here is a close up of the racoon, look at those eyes....sooooooooo cute :).  I kept the inside simple and stamped the mouse with grey granite.

Here is the same card, except in blues and using the sentiments from Peaceful moments for a birthday card. I used blueberry bushel, seaside spray and call me clover on this one and the squirrel is in cajun craze.

Also in the video, I showed the same stamp set being used for a get well card.

This one I used the Stone 3D embossing folder, stitched so sweetly dies, pretty peacock and merry merlot and the coming soon Special Day Dies!!

Stamping with Jen - Stamping Symphony January Blog Hop

Happy New Year!!! And with the New Year comes the new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue.  So exciting!! There are so many beautiful suites and bundles in this catalogue you must check it out.  If you live in Canada and do not have a demonstrator and want to get a copy of the catalogue, reach out to me, I can pop one in the mail to you!

I decided to share with you this simple, yet beautiful card using the Painted Poppies stamp set and the Sending You Thoughts stamp set, which yes you could get FREE with a $60 Canadian order.  That is right, it is Sale A Bration time again!!! But more about that later.  First, what do you think of this card?

I used the verse phrase from the new Parisian Beauty stamp set and stamped it in Sahara Sand just for a subtle background.  I then used my poppy parade and old olive stamping write markers and coloured the poppy stamp.  I also stamped a poppy on scrap paper and used it as a mask to get the poppy behind the other two.  I also used my aqua painters to fill in the leaves, stems and around the flowers.  After it was stamped and coloured, I gently ripped around the edges to give it an old look and took my sponge dauber with crumb cake and sponged around the edges.  I adhered to a piece of early espresso (dimensions found below) and wrapped with braided linen trim and the green thread from the magnolia lane ribbon combo pack (both available in the annual catalogue).  The background splatter is in crumb cake and the sentiment in early espresso.  Here is a close up.

I kept the inside simple and coloured the poppies using my poppy parade blends and the inside sentiment is also from the Sending you Thoughts stamp set.

To make this card, the supplies you will need are provided below, but here are the dimensions:

  • 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 piece of crumb cake
  • 1 1/4 X 4 1/4 piece of early espresso card stock
  • 1 1/4 X 4 1/4 piece of whisper white card stock
  • 5 1/4 X 4 piece of whisper white card stock (inside).
