Stamping with Jen - Perched in a Tree

Oh my goodness, September is just around the corner.  Where oh where did the summer go? With September looming before us, it also means that Sale-A-bration will be wrapping up soon.  It isn't too late to get your free stuff, but you need to act fast.  Sale-A-bration promotion ends August 31, so less than a week left.  Check out the Sale-A-bration items here.

I used two Sale-A-bration items, can you guess? Yes the Rings of Love Designer Series paper...but also the Aspen Tree Dies...what???? that is in the mini catalogue isn't it. Yes it is, but there have been a few items from the annual and mini catalogues added..so make sure you look!!!

I just love this "chubby" bird.  It is pretty versatile too, it would be perfect for just a general card like this, but also for holiday cards.  I did this curvy pop-up fun fold in our Stamping Symphony blog/insta hop but featured a different stamp set and DSP all together.  I just loved the fold, I wanted to play again

This is a free standing card and you can put panels on the back to write on and decorate.

Stamping with Jen Hello Harvest Fun Fold Stamping Symphony Blog Hop

It is the middle of August already.  How did that happen?? Only a few more weeks of summer holiday and then we are back to school and savouring the last few days of summer.  I can't believe how fast this summer flew by.

Our theme of our blog and instahop this month is fun fold.  I combined the looming autumn with a curvy pop-up fun fold and made this super easy fun fold featuring the Hello Harvest Bundle and the stunning Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also used the stunning Metallic & Shimmer Specialty paper out of the July to December mini

This card comes together very easily, see how the front and middle layer adhere to the card base.

You simply just adhere the tabs.  The card is free standing and you can also stamp and write on the back panels.

The dimensions to make this card are:

Card Base (thick Very Vanilla) - 4 1/4 X 5 1/2; scored at 2 3/4

Middle layer (thick Very Vanilla) - 2 X 4 1/2; scored at 1/2, 2 1/4, 4

Front layer (thick Very Vanilla) - 1 1/4 X 6 1/2; scored at 1/2 on either end.

DSP (for the base) 2 5/8 X 4 1/8 - need 2

DSP (for the front) 1 1/8 X 5 3/8

Middle Panels (Pale Papaya card stock) - 1 5/8 X 1 7/8 (need 2)

For the flowers, I stamped in memento and then coloured with blends and cut out with dies.  The pumpkin base and squash and zucchini are cut out from the DSP.

For the middle panels, you can use DSP but I used cardstock and stamped the leaves using Pumpkin pie and cajun craze!

This is one of the cards I am featuring in my upcoming class! Stay tuned.  If you would like to purchase supplies to make this card, see below for a supply list.  Remember, if you order before Aug 31 and your order is at least $60, you can earn FREE sale-a-bration stuff!!!

I hope you enjoyed this fun fold card.  Make sure you hop on to the next Stamping Symphony blog to see what fun folds they came up with!!! You can also see the projects on our instahop

Stamping with Jen - Hello Harvest Fun Fold

Happy August 2022.  And happy 26th Anniversary to the love of my life! I can't believe it has been 26 years!!!  So, I am spending my anniversary night doing a live LOL...what a sweet understanding man :). I am back from a much needed vacation and am full on back in to the rat race.  Oh, to be back on the dock listening to the loons.  I hope you guys have stayed cool over the last few weeks, it has been insanely hot here.  So, although I am not ready to say goodbye to the summer, I am playing with some autumn stuff in my craft room and I thought I would share.

This bundle and DSP is from the gorgeous Rustic Harvest Suite.  This is a must have in your collection.  It is absolutely beautiful.  I will be offering a class featuring this suite, so stay tuned!

The supplies to make this card are provided below, and if you live in Canada, you can buy them from me on my on-line store.  Don't forget, get them by August 31st and you can choose a FREE Sale-a-bration item if your purchase is $60 or more before taxes and shipping!

The dimensions for this card are provided below.  But make sure you watch my video for step by step directions on how to make it!

- Card base Pumpkin Pie - 5 1/2 X 8 1/2

- DSP (Rustic Harvest) - 3/4 X 5 1/4 and two of 1 X 3

-Basic White - 2 3/4 X 3, 5 1/4 X 2 3/4, and scrap for the banner, pumpkin and flower

- Pumpkin pie - scrap for die cutting the pumpkins

- Old Olive - scrap for die cutting the vines.

For the card base, place the 5 1/2 inch side along the top of your paper trimmer.  Place the paper at 1 1/4 inch then cut from 1 inch to 5 1/4.  Move the paper to 4 1/4 and cut again from 1 to 5 1/4 inches.  Then rotate the paper so that the 8 1/2 is along the top and cut lines are to the left.  At 1 inch score from each side up to the cut lines (don't score the middle).  Repeat this at 2 inches.  Then place the paper at 4 1/4 inches and score between the cut lines (the middle).  Then place the paper at 5 1/4 and score just up to the cut lines (not the middle).  The rest is just assembling and decorating! Easy peasy!!!

As you can see there isn't much room to write on the front, problem solved a back panel to decorate and write on!!!

Make sure you check out my video for how to put this together!
