Amber Autumn

I need thank you cards!!!! And it was such a beautiful autumn day, crisp air, blue skies sun was shining that I decided to use the beautiful Amber Autumn bundle together with what I have left of the Gathering Together specialty designer series paper (DSP).  I find colouring with blends is so relaxing.

Which colour combination do you prefer? The Early Espresso or the Crushed Curry?

 Surprisingly, I actually like the Early Espresso better.  It makes it pop a bit more. 

For the inside I kept it really simple

Branching out meets Christmas Tags & More - super simple Christmas Card

 Good evening.  I had a rude awakening yesterday when I realized that we are almost into NOVEMBER. What??? Where did this year go.  So that means, that the mad rush to get Christmas cards made and in the mail is on my door step LOL. 

So I decided I needed to make a Christmas card on the fly tonight.  It was on the fly because I have been all consumed with my day job lately and didn't get time to design.  So I had fun, trying different things out with you tonight.  I think I am happy with how it turned out.  What do you think?

So simple and so traditional!! I used the Branching Out Dies, the Christmas Tags & More designer series paper and the sentiments came from Traditional Labels and Words for the Season. I kept the inside simple

Branching Out - Masculine Card

 When I saw the Branching Out Bundle, I was like, wow I need those dies, but wasn't too keen on the stamp set.  Boy was I wrong.  This is an amazing set, I have had so much fun playing with this.  It is versatile and is perfect for masculine cards, christmas cards, birthday cards and just because cards. 

I wanted to make sure I have some masculine Christmas cards ready, so I made this as a Christmas card and had to borrow a sentiment from Words of the Season stamp set.

Which do you prefer, the Mossy Meadow base or the Early Espresso?

For the needles, I stamped first in Old Olive, then again in Mossy Meadow to add fuller needles.  The pine cones, I stamped first in Pecan Pie and then did the tips in Early Espresso.  Once I was happy with the needles/pine cones, I stamped White craft ink on the tips to mimic snow.  I also stamped some snow in the background.  To make it a little more intense, I let the ink dry and then I stamped the tips in versamark and used the white embossing powder to make some of the snow stand out.  

I then sponged around the edges and over the embossed card layer with Mossy Meadow ink followed by Early Espresso.

I kept the insides pretty simple
