Ok, I have been playing all week with the Spooky Sweet Suite. It is absolutely adorable. You could get away with just the DSP and make some pretty darn cute cards, but the little critters on the stamp set are adorable and I love the dies with the Haunted house. So really, you should get the entire suite :).
Which card do you prefer?
The Designer Series Paper comes with two pages of die cut pieces, so lots of options to create different cards!

So, it looks like I missed posting last weeks card, oops. Things have been crazy. So we will do two in one post. Luckily they both are featuring the Autumn Trees bundle. The first card I did, we were in a heat wave when I designed it and I was dreaming of cooler days and the autumn. This weeks card, well, it is the last week of August and those cooler days/nights have arrived and now I am mourning summer LOL.
Both cards use the same technics, I just made one with autumn colours and one with summer colours. Which do you prefer?
The top card I stamped the tree with Early Espresso Ink onto Crushed Curry (yes that is right). I wanted the part of the tree that wasn't being covered in die cut leaves to have fall hues to it. I then sponged the leaves with Old Olive using blending brushes. I coloured the branches with Pecan Pie blends. I then cut out the tree with the outline and the detailed die. I cut three of the detailed leaves, one in Cajun Craze, one in Pumpkin Pie and one in Crushed Curry. I then took Cherry Cobbler ink and "blotted" the leaves to add different colours to each leaf layer.
For the summer card, I stamped the tree on Basic Beige and sponged using old olive and granny apple green. I cut 3 leaves, one with Granny Apple Green and two in Old Olive. I then blotted with Mossy Meadow.
The deer and ground I cut out using the dies and coloured with blends (Old Olive, Pecan Pie and Gray Granite for the rocks)
The fall card is just a simple "regular card" with the following measurements:
- Card base 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 (Crushed Curry)
- Cherry Cobbler layer: 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
- Very Vanilla 5 1/4 X 4 (sponged a sky with Balmy Blue)
- Basic White 5 1/4 X 4 (inside)
For the summer card
- Card base is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 (Azure Afternoon)
As demonstrators, we get to order new product early, and let me tell you, I LOVE the Autumn Toile suite. Normally at the end of August, I get kind of sad as I hate to see the summer finish. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the autumn, but I don't love what comes after it LOL. But this summer, we have had crazy heat and humidity, and long bouts of it. I never thought I would say this, but it is too hot to be outside for any length of time. So, I am happy to have lots of pre-order stuff to play with!!!
I did a swap for our team meeting this week (theme was autumn) using the new Amber Autumn bundle and products from the Autumn Toile suite and decided to do a similar card using a different image in the same bundle. Which card do you prefer, the pumpkin or the acorn?
Both cards use stunning Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper, the Streaked Dots embellishments and the super cool Irregular Weave trim. The pumpkin card also uses the beautiful Autumn Toile designer series paper.
If you want to see how I make this card (I did the pumpkin one in my video) and get some tips on using blends, check out my video on You Tube
Thank you so much for joining me today. If you are a demonstrator, you can get your hands on these products now! If you are not (you should be LOL), you can order these products starting September 3, 2025.
