Peaceful Poinsettia

I always wait to long to start my Christmas cards, so I thought this year I would get a head start on them!!! I decided to try the Peaceful Poinsettia with two of the new colors this year, Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce.  Love them together! What do you think? Such an easy card to do.  I opted for simple, but the shimmer paint just adds a little sophistication and bling to it!

So, I but both images of the poinsettia out using the framelits, then the fine detailed one, I painted with the champagne mist shimmer paint.  The Christmas Wishes is stamped using the stamparatus with Merry Merlot ink, then I painted the stamp with the champagne mist shimmer paint and re-stamped.  Be careful not to get too much shimmer paint on, or it will make the sentiment not sharp.  It is just a subtle addition to the card that looks amazing in person.
The inside I colored using my blends and then added some shimmer paint to the holly leave.

Hope you enjoyed this simple card!! For a complete list of supplies see below.

Winter Woods

I am not sure what it is about trees, but I can't get enough tree stamps! Have you seen the Winter Woods set in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue. Stunning. Check out the link to the Holiday Catalogue on my blog.  I decided to play with the Winter woods set for a Christmas Card. There is so much potential with this set and so versatile.  What do you think?

I used a number of different new products from the Holiday Catalogue, can you identify them all?  For the trees, I stamped them in basic black on whisper white card stock, then just moved the trees slightly and re-stamped with versamark.  I heat embossed white embossing powder to make the trees have some dimension and look a bit like snow.  I then sponged the background with balmy blue (I LOVE this new color) and night of navy.  The trees were then cut out using oval die cuts.  Not sure if it shows up well, but the night of navy cardstock was embossed with the subtle embossing folder.  Then, using our spritzers, I mixed rubbing alcohol with some of the new shimmer paint - champagne mist - and spritzed the card stock to give it a subtle shimmer. Yes, you guessed it the, the sentiment and ribbon are also from the 2018 Holiday catalogue.

For the inside, I stamped the top of the trees across the bottom, sponged in balmy blue and night of navy and stamped the sentiment.  The inside was then spritzed with the shimmer paint/alcohol mixture.l
