A friend of mine is celebrating her 51st year this week so I decided to have some fun!!! I was inspired by a fancy fold card that Julie Davison showed on her blog here called the wiper card.  And knew I just had to try it with this stamp set!

Her favourite color is blue, so the DSP from Playing with Patterns was perfect with Night of Navy.  I will be posting a video later this week on how to make this card :).

When you open the card, the goat pops up!!!

I will be posting a video on Wed of how to make this card...make sure you come back to see :)

Stamping with Jen - Scrappy Strip Technique -2020-2022 In Color

Hello stampers! Hope this finds you well.

Just jumping on today to share with you a quick card inspired by Bruno Bertucci's Scrappy Strip Technique.  You can see his video here .

I used the same technique to illustrate the new in colours...I LOVE this years in colours.  ALL OF THEM!! Not sure which one is my favourite.

This card is soooo easy to make.  All you do is cut a piece of Basic Black to 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.  Then just take some cardstock and cut strips, you want them thicker at one end.  Just glue them down, trim the ends and cut the cardstock down to 5 1/4 X 4 and glue it to a card base....easy peasy.

What do you think? What is your favourite new In Color?

Stamping with Jen -Tasteful Touches

Guess what today is??? The first day of the new catalogue!!!!!! How exciting. I think we broke the internet placing orders :).  But all is good now.  And there is an amazing deal right now for the starter kit..interested...just ask.  But lets get to the stamping :).

For this card I used products from the In Good Taste suite! I LOVE this suite....last weeks card was also using this suite, make sure you check it out!

I love the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP).  For this card I stamped the flowers and the sentiment in Night of Navy on Whisper White card stock.  I coloured the flowers with the light and dark Balmy Blue Bends and the light Night of Navy Blend.  I used wink of Stella in the middle of the flower to add a little glitter!!!  I cut them out using scissors and then used versmark on the In Good Taste elements and silver embossing powder and heat embossed two leaves and a sprig.  Just like that, your wooden elements become metallic!!!  Here is a close up.

I keep the inside pretty simple.

Please watch my video for some tips and tricks and please like and share!  Also join me on my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/stampinwithjen/.  If you would like to purchase the materials to make this card and you live in Canada, please visit my website and online store at https://jennifer_kirk.stampinup.net.
