Darling Donkey's Waterfall Card

Can you believe February is almost over and that means that Sale A Bration is almost over. I wanted to play one more time before it retires with the Darling Donkey's stamp set as it is so darn cute! I did a waterfall card last year with the Have a Hoot stamp set and thought the Donkey's would work well for this card. What do you think? Pretty cute eh!!
Waterfall Card

For this one I used the Pretty Peacock and the 2019-2021 In Color DSP. These colours will also be leaving us this spring, and I LOVE them!!! If you do too, make sure you don't wait to buy the paper, ink and re-inkers as they sell out fast every year. I also made a version of the card using the Flower and Field Designer Series Paper which is also a free item in the Sale A Bration brochure. Which one do you like the best?

Sweet Strawberry Fun Fold Card

Is it strawberry season yet? I am so ready for it!!!!  But I have had so much fun playing with this set.  I am offering a class to go and here is a sneak peak of it!!

Fun fold card

This is such an easy fun-fold to do!! Make sure you watch the video to see just how easy it is!!

I stamped the blossoms on the die cut in memento ink and coloured with granny apple green blends and petal pink blends.  I stamped the strawberries on poppy parade with poppy parade ink and the strawberry tops with granny apple green.  These are then punched out and adhered using dimensionals.  The rest is really just scoring and folding!

Here is the bundle which, if you live in Canada, you can purchase from me from my online store here (http://www.stampinup.ca/products/sweet-strawberry-bundle-english?demoid=2147663) (it will be available the week of Feb 22 :0).

The dimensions for the card are as follows:

- card base Poppy Parade 4 1/4 X 10 1/2 - score at 1/2, 1 3/4, 3 3/4 and 5
- second piece of cardstock- Poppy Parade - 3 X 5 3/4 Scored at 1/2 and 1 3/4
- DSP - 4 X 5 1/4 (strawberries) and 1 3/4 X 4 (green)
- Basic White cut with Sitched Sweetly Dies and a 5 1/4 X 4 for back of card
- scrap poppy parade and granny apple green for strawberries.

Here is my video...bloops and all :)

Have an amazing week!!!!

Stamping Symphony February Blog Hop - Stamping with Jen Sweet Strawberry and Joseph's Coat

Can you believe that is the middle of February already? Happy belated Family Day and Valentines Day!!! And there is only a few more weeks of Sale A Bration left.  Where has the time gone????  So, I am done with winter, I just want spring to come and other than flowers, strawberries make me think of the spring!!! This Sweet Strawberry bundle is so yummy and has made me so happy!

It also coordinates with a FREE Level 2 bundle in Sale A Bration that has the Berry Blessings stamp set and Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper.  The bundle is Free with a $120 order (before taxes and shipping). Here is a photo of the bundle

So I used a technique called Joseph's Coat to make this cute cheery card!!  To see the technique, make sure you watch my video from my Valentines Day post (https://stampingjen.blogspot.com/2021/02/happy-valentines-day-always-in-my-heart.html).  It walks you through how to do the technique.  Essentially you cover a piece of Basic White cards stock with ink using blending brushes.  For this card I used Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green.  Then you stamp in versmark and clear emboss.  Then you cover the rest of the card with black ink.  The clear emboss allows the sponged colour to resist the ink and you get an amazing background!!!

I stamped the strawberry bloom using memento ink and coloured with blends and cut out using scissors.  And since we don't have a poppy parade twine, I used the white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack and coloured with poppy parade blends.

A complete list of supplies to make this card is provided at the end of the post.  Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!!!
