Stamping with Jen Tasteful Touches

Happy Wednesday!! Only one more week until the new catalogue goes live!!! I can't wait!! So today I am playing with another new suite that is just amazing- the In Good Taste Suite.  It is perfect for both masculine and feminine cards!  What do you think?

For the inside, I kept it pretty simple.  Love how simple this card is!!

To see how I made this card, check out the video.  Supplies are below and the recipe for the card is as follows:

- Smokey Slate card stock 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
- Rococo Rose card stock 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
- In Good Taste DSP 5 1/4 X 4, run through the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder
- Whisper white card stock 5 1/4 X 4 for inside panel
- scrap Rococo Rose (for feathers) and whisper white (for featers and label)
The inks is used are Basic Grey (for the sentiments), Smokey Slate for the feathers and background stamp and Rococo Rose with a sponge dauber to color the feathers. I also used the dark Rococo Rose blend to color the In Good Taste Elements and the Champagne Mist shimmer paint which I painted with the aqua painters.

May Stamping Symphony Blog Hop

Happy May! Can't believe it is the middle of the month already.  I am really surprised how fast time is flying by, even with the stay at home orders and the fact that we rarely leave the house (other than to walk the dog).

Guess it is a perfect time to play with new product from the upcoming Annual Catalogue!!! Just a few more weeks and it will be live for us to order from!!!!!

This month, we decided to focus on Father's Day cards.  I had fun playing with the new Beautiful World Suite (item # 154140)   Here is a picture of the bundle called Beautiful World bundle (item # 154091).  So amazing for those men in our family :).  The suite comes with brass foil sheets, faux suede trim, antiqued corners, old world embossing folder, Memories and More card pack (perfect for the new stamper or scrapbooker!) and of course some stunning DSP - World of Good Specialty DSP.

So here is my card!! What do you think?

For this card, I used Crumb Cake as the base and Early Espresso for the first layer.  The top layer is actually a piece of DSP (item # 152491). I stamped the feather  and compass image using stamped off Early Espresso and then ran it through the Old World Paper 3D Embossing folder (item # 153200).  I then tore the Early Espresso and the DSP to make it old and then sponged with Early Espresso around the edges.  I also sponged the crumb cake to make it also look aged.  The words are from the  Word Wishes dies which are carrying over (item# 149629).  Here is a close up where you can see the Faux Suede Trim and the DSP.

For the inside I used Very Vanilla cardstock and Early Espresso Ink, and simply sponged the outside using Early Espresso.

So what do you think? Please leave a comment!! Make sure you hop along to the other Stampin' Symphonies ladies blog hop and get some ideas for those men in your life!!

If you can't wait until June 3 to get your hands on this suite...you can join today and have it as part of your starter kit, and then enjoy at least 20% off on your Stampin'Up! supplies. Ask me how or check out the Join My Team at the top of the page!!  Below is a list of supplies that you can get now...the rest will be available starting June 3 (I have provided the item # above :) ).

Kylie's Training International Demonstrator Monthly Blog Hop - Stamping with Jen

Wow another month gone by.  I am amazed at how fast time is flying even with still having to stay at home.  Things are starting to open up here in Ontario, but we have decided to go out as little as possible.  Hopefully soon the boat launches will open and spring weather will finally arrive.  We had snow this weekend :(.

Anyway, with the arrival of spring also means a NEW ANNUAL Catalogue!!!!!! It goes live June 3rd, but if you can't wait until then, you can join my team and get these goodies in your starter kit!!!
As demonstrators we are allowed to pre-order, and if you sign up now, you can add pre-order items to your starter kit!! Live in Canada and want more info, check out the "Join my Team" tab or contact me!!

So for todays post I decided to play with the new Forever Green Suite.  The Suite comes with the Forever Fern Bundle (item # 154094), two embossing folders (Greenery Embossing Folders (152716), gold hoop embellishments (item # 152474), Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (item # 152475), Forever Gold Laser-Cut specialty paper (item # 152493) and the Forever Greenery DSP (item # 152492).  I haven't used all of these products today, but used a number of them!!! I almost didn't buy this suite as I am not typically crazy about green, but I have to tell you...I am in LOVE with it.  It is sooooo beautiful. I am having so much fun playing with it.

Here is a very simple card I made using a number of products from the suite.  What do you think?

This card is so easy to make.  I simply took a strip of DSP (1.5"), bordered it with Pretty Peacock, cut out a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, cut the circular frame from the Forever Cold Laser Cut speciality paper in half, wrapped the gold thread from the ribbon combo pack around twice, stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock, and glued it all together. Easy peasy!!!

For the inside I stamped the sentiment from another new set called Tasteful Touches (item # 152562) in Pretty Peacock and stamped the top of one of the images.

To make this card you will need:

- Pretty Peacock card stock (item #150880)
- Whisper White card stock (item # 100730)
- Forever Greenery Designer series paper (#152492 - Available June 3)
- Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper (item# 152493 Available June 3)
- Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' Pad (item # 150083)
- Stitched Shapes dies (item # 145372)
- Gold trim from Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (item# 152475).

Paper dimensions are:
- Card Base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4
- DSP - 1.5" X 5 1/4
- Layer beneath DSP 1 3/4X 5 1/2
- Inside and outside white layer 4"X 5 1/4"

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peak!!  Please check out my video below to learn more about the products and how to make the card.
