Stamping with Jen Stamping Symphony August blog hop

I cannot believe it is the middle of August already.  Just a few more weeks to back to school.  I have to say that this return to school is the most stressful return that I think I have ever faced, and I don't go to school LOL. So lets focus on today and happy time in the craft room!!!  I have to say, I LOVE this Beautiful Autumn Bundle.  It is so simple and yet so beautiful.

So I used the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder for the background.  I stamped on very vanilla in Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Mango Melody the outlines of the maple leaf, acorn and ash leaf respectively.  For the inside of the images, I stamped off (stamped first on scrap paper, then on project) in Cherry Cobbler for the maple leaf, I stamped in Crumb Cake and stamped off in Crumb Cake the top of the acorn and the bottom of the acorn, respectively. The ash leaf I kind of half stamped off :)  in Mango Melody.  I punched out the stamped images and adhered them to the smallest circle from the Stitched Shaped dies.  The sentiment is stamped in crumb cake. What do you think?

Kylie's Training International Demonstrator Monthly Blog Hop - Stamping with Jen

Wow another month has gone by already.  This is crazy that we are almost half way through August.  The time is flying!

I saw a really neat gift card holder/card by Connie Stewart (you can see her video here) and thought this would be perfect for a masculine birthday card using Whiskey Business.  What do you think?

When you untie the ribbon, you have a place for a gift card and a place to write a little note!

For the inside, I kept it simple!

The DSP is from the new August to December mini, isn't it gorgeous!!!

I will put a full list of supplies at the end of this post.  Not sure if you can see how shiny the canister is..but trust me, it is pretty cool.  How did I do it? So I stamped in Memento on Whisper white cardstock and coloured with blends.  Then I stamped using StazOn onto a window sheet.  I adhered the Adhesive sheet to the back of the window sheet, peeled off the backing and overplayed the window sheet on the coloured image and cut out with scissors.

To make this card you will need:

- Basic Black Cardstock 4 1/4 X 5 1/2

-Whisper White Cardstock - 4X 5 1/4

            - 2 pieces at 3 1/4 X 4

            - scrap for stamping

- Card holder layer - Cherry Cobbler cardstock 4 1/4 X 11

- DSP - Plaid Tidings - 4 X 2 (outside)

                                    - 3 1/4 X 4 (inside)

- Window sheet

- ribbon
