Happy New Year! I hope you have had a happy, healthy and restful holiday season. I finally got time to play in my craft room and I have to say, I had a tonne of fun playing with this months Paper Pumpkin. I did use the add-on dies alot...Abundant Joy Dies. Unfortunately, they are no longer available, so I hope you got yours!! You can see the dies below. Don't have it, but want to make similar cards to me, then just go through your stash for some flowers and leaves!
Typical with Paper Pumpkin Kits, I rarely do the projects as designed, I normally play with the set to see what other ideas I can come up with. But if you do want to do them as designed, you can watch the Stampin'Up! video on You Tube to see how to make the projects. Here is the link to the video
Ok, so onto my alternatives. These are the two that we made together (as well as one very close to the fun fold we made together). I switched the focal point and used die cuts and switched the card opening around, but it is essentially the same card.
I tried to emboss the the vellum that came with the kit. Word of advice, don't use 3D embossing folders, it ripped the vellum. It was still useable, but a more gentle embossing folder would work better.
The other card we made together used the envelope as our focal point. Such a simple card but I loved how it turned out.
The embellishments that I used are from the annual catalogue and are the Shades of Green Hexagons (they are part of the Turtely-cute Suite Collection) and the sentiment die cut is a sneak peak of the Words of Beauty bundle that is an upcoming On-Line Exclusive that will be released on Jan 6 2026.
