I decided this month to work with one of the new in colours. I haven't really played with these colours very much, not sure why, maybe they aren't my "go to" colours normally. But I have to say, the more I use them, the more I LOVE them. When I first saw Terracotta Tile I was not very taken by it, but it has completely grown on me. Isn't this stunning?

I am using a fancy fold called that Marissa at Kitchen Table Stampers showed on her You Tube video called a double Z fold. This is my first time trying this fold, and oh the possibilities :).

Stamping with Jen - Let it Ride

As I have a few blog hops this month, I decided to post a little early for the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge (SUOC) 246 that can be found here https://suochallenges.com. For this challenge, it is a sketch challenge using the layouts of page 42 of the Mini Catalogue as inspiration. If you follow the link, you can see the three potential layouts to base a card or better yet, check the catalogue out!

I find with Easter coming that I am missing my extended family so I started making some cards to send out. Here is one for my niece and her partner who loves horses.

A complete list of supplies is provided below. To colour the horse, I used crumb cake and soft suede ink and a blender pen. I just squished the ink pad so I got some ink on the lid, that way I could control the colour a bit easier.

What do you think? I just love colouring. It is such a huge stress releaser. You should try it!!!

Ok, onto my card. So I decided to make a simple card to demonstrate how beautiful these dies are. What do you think?

I added a little "pop" to the embossing folder by first braying the folder with seaside spray. I wonder what it would look like using Blueberry Bushel? will try it next. For the inside, it is simply stamped with a sentiment and I used one of the dies from the Ornate Layers dies. Very simple. Think I will make a few more of these to have on hand :).
