Stamping with Jen December Stamping Symphony Blog Hop - Corner fold Gift Card Holder

Welcome to December's Stamping Symphony Blog Hop where we decided to showcase treat boxes or gift card holders.   But first, can you believe the holidays are upon us already?  From my family to yours, I hope you all have a healthy and safe holiday and get to enjoy time with family and friends and of course your craft room :).

So for this months project I decided to share a tri-fold gift card holder that was inspired by Rachel Tessman of Stamp your Art out. These are very simple to make, can be decorated for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries you name it, they fit into a regular size envelope and are pretty cool looking if you ask me. Here is a photo of the inside.

The gift card slides into the left side of the card where the half triangle is and you can stamp a sentiment on the bottom or leave it blank and write a note.  The panel on the right is only attached at the top of the card, so it tucks under and allows the card the fold flat to fit into an envelope.  Here is the outside of the card.

The DSP on this card is the Feels Like Frost DSP and I just sponged it with night of navy.  Make sure to take a paper towel and rub over when finished so that you remove the ink that is left on the silver part of the DSP.  The sentiment and snowflake are from the Frosted Foliage Bundle.  Here are a few more variations of the same card.

This one uses in addition to the Frosted Foliage Bundle, the snowflakes from the Christmas Layers Dies.

Here is another version using the boughs from the Christmas Layers Die and a different pattern on the  DSP.

And for a completely different look, here is another example using the Brightly Gleaming DSP.

For this card I used copper embossing powder, delicata copper ink refill to paint the berries and blends to cover the holly.  The holly and the sentiment are from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set.

For details on how to make this card, please watch my video.

Thank you for checking out my post.  Please leave a comment.  Please check out the list below for the materials needed to make this card.   If you live in Canada and do not have a demonstrator and would like to buy the supplies to make this card, please check out this LINK.  And if you would like to make the green holly card, check out this Link to Holly card supplies.  Note the berries were coloured using the delicata re-inker for celestial copper.  Stampin' Up! no longer has this in supply, but you could use any copper paint or could even color them green or whatever color you have.

I hope you have a very special holiday season and all the best!  Please hop along to the next post and check out the neat projects from the other Stamping Symphony blog hoppers.
