Stamping Symphony April Bloghop - Retiring Favorite

Last weekend I attended on stage with many members of the Stamping Symphony team and we were able to get our hands on the new annual catalogue which comes into effect June 1 2018.  So many beautiful things and exciting changes to Stamping up!!! But with all good things, there are some sad things too and that was the release of the retiring list.  A few of my "go to" stamps were on this list:(.  I think my favorite one that is retiring is Butterfly Basics.  So I thought I would have a last play with the bundle.  Although I am very sad to have this bundle retiring, we are bringing back my absolute favorite color  BLACKBERRY BLISS.  So goodbye and hello are part of my card for this month's blog hop.

To do this card, I used watercolor paper and the Sweet soiree decorative masks.  I applied embossing paste and while it was still wet, I sprinkled the Prussian Blue and Brilliant Red Brusho crystals and spritzed with water.  I took the mask off and very quickly washed it!!!  It is a neat effect.  Although you can't really tell in this picture, once the design was dry, I added some wink of stella (clear) to the designs to give it a little sparkle.  The small butterfly on the label also had some wink of stella applied for some subtle bling.  I layered the butterfly cut out with dazzling diamond glimmer paper (which is also sadly retiring) and blackberry bliss just to add some dimension.  The inside is just simply stamped.  I am sad to see that blackberry bliss is not one of the new blends being released in June. Hopefully it will be added soon!!!
