Kylie Bertucci's January 2021 International Blog Highlights Winners Hop

I am so excited to be hopping along with these talented stampers!! Thank you so much for those that voted for me and to Kylie for organizing and giving us the opportunity to participate!

I decided to get messy for this blog hop and play with the Gilded Leafing that is part of the Fine Art Floral Suite in the January to June 2021 Mini catalogue.  Can you see what parts of the card I used the Gilded Leafing?

Here is a close up...

I used it on the flower, the leaves, the sentiment and the layer behind the sentiment!!! So the Gilded Leafing is a very light flake that sticks to different types of adhesives.  For the flower and the sentiment I stamped  in Versamark and then covered with our heat and stick powder.  For the sentiment layer, I actually just pushed it right into the versamark pad and then covered with the heat and stick powder.  Using the heat tool, you quickly heat it just until it changes consistency.  Don't heat too long or it will loose it's stick!  Then you put your paper directly in your Leafing Gilding and then the fun begins :).  The gold flakes will stick wherever the adhesive is, all you do is rub it off.  I keep my Gilded Leafing in a large container with a lid.  Just be careful not to breath into the container or you will have gold flakes EVERYWHERE lol!!!  I just put my paper right into the container and then I start rubbing it off with my finger or thumb, then move onto a toothbrush.  Don't be afraid to give it a good scrub!

For the leaves (they are from the In Good Taste Elements), I covered the surface with Multipurpose glue and let dry.  When the Multipurpose glue dries, it remains tacky, this is what your want!! You can let dry for a few minutes or overnight, it will still be tacky to the touch.  Then I just did the same thing as paper, pressed it into the Gilded Leafing, rubbed off with my finger and then scrubbed with the toothbrush!

Using our blends (Petal Pink and light Rococo Rose) I coloured the flower and then cut out using the dies.

For the inside, I used a sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set.  I just love the sentiments in that set!!!
